The Canadian Official Languages Act of 1969 gives French and English equal status in Canada. That means that both languages have to be printed on official signage, spoken in courts, etc.
Following this same logic during their spring "Stakeout" of flooded Canadian rivers, Nick Troutman (CAN) and Mat Dumoulin (FRA) decided to take this one step further by representing both languages on the same gigantic river wave--at the same time. The duo somehow managed to stick impressive aerial maneuvers without colliding into one another. Check out their POV and drone footage of the surf for an up close and personal view.
Both riders are paddling the new 2016 Rock Star from Jackson Kayak.
