C&K contributing photographer and avid Greenland-style paddler Freya Fennwood (@freyafennwoodphotography) recently decided to take her talents to sea kayaking’s homeland. Fennwood checked in Monday from her travels to compete in the 30th annual Greenland Kayaking Championship. “The competition just started yesterday and the rolling is today,” wrote Fennwood, who’ll be sending updates from the competition and her paddling adventures in Greenland. “I have prepared by rolling in mountain lakes and now I’m just waiting … Nothing is announced in English so it’s good to just be prepared to stand around all day and jump on the water when they call your name!” In the video above, Freya introduces the Pygmy Kayaks debut of her namesake Greenland rolling kayak that she’ll be using during her visit “to the birthplace of kayaking.”
