Waveskiers launch off the back of waves to catch huge air and perform aerial tricks and re-entry moves. A waveski is similar to a surf kayak except that a waveski is a sit-on-top that uses a system of straps instead of a closed cockpit to keep the paddler connected to the board.

In this video, Pablo Arrouays rides a promodel from Rod’s Surfboards. At 196 x 60 cm, this board is a bit of a change in waveski shape, and the amount of air he’s able to catch makes a good case for the new model.
