Chile’s Rio Claro is one of the most photogenic sections of whitewater in South America. It’s always a pleasure to watch paddlers snake down its signature Garganta Del Diablo, ‘The Devil’s Throat,’ (aka Caracol, ‘the Snail,’ aka Twirly Bird) slide, but the creek boasts plenty of other quality features as well; this much is clear from two new edits released this month by Chris Baer and Aniol Serrasolses. Just beware: rescues in this canyon are very difficult as Baer recently explained on his website WhereIsBaer.com.
