First descents are few and far between these days, but it’s always possible to go exploring for a personal first descent. Neither Eric Boomer nor Todd Wells had ever run the “Box” of the Clarks Fork of the Yellowstone. After receiving a few brief instructions from a friend via text message, the pair dropped into one of the most committing Class V+ canyons in the lower 48 states.
