On a late September evening in BC, Canadian paddlers gathered at the Cheakamus River for some late season shenanigans and friendly competition. Low water levels made for a relatively safe environment for paddlers to attempt all sorts of tricks over the 15-foot falls. That included freewheels, paddle spins, and even some butterfly stroking Michael Phelps impersonations. An open canoeist even joined the plethora of kayakers plunging over the falls. No one was hurt in the making of this video… at least so far as we know.
