The 2009 USACK Charlotte Open
This fall, the international slalom scene converged in North Carolina for the USACK Charlotte Open. Our man Benn Fraker cleaned up in the C1 class. For the record, C&K officially loves the stylie video released promoting the show.
Perhaps only by coincidence, The Green River Narrows Race (dominated by Andrew Holcombe who set a new longboat record) followed within weeks. Our suggestion for next year? Combine the two gatherings into one monster paddling event. Set gates on the Southeast’s most cherished creek run and see what these slalom animals could do on a Narrows course.
