Made in Canada: Kayaking the Taureau
Episode two looks at the Class V classic through the eyes of the paddler who pioneered it
The Taureau section of Quebec’s Jacques-Cartier River has been hailed by whitewater paddlers as a Canada classic. The second episode of “Made in Canada”, a joint project between Five2Nine Productions and NRS, looks at the Taureau through the eyes of the man who embodies the river’s legendary status.
Claude Page is the man who pioneered this remote section of Class V whitewater. Many paddlers know Page as the person who took them down the Taureau for the first time. Others know him simply as one of the Quebec kayaking legends.
