Video: Stunning slow-motion of Ben Marr in Quebec

Ben Marr shreds big waves in Quebec in this short clip by Olaf Obsommer

When the snow melts in spring and early summer, Quebec becomes the world’s premier paddling destination for big water and freestyle kayaking. Rivers with massive volume swell to their banks and giant standing waves provide freestyle kayakers a stage on which to dance their powerful, adrenaline-pumping ballet. To make this clip, Olaf Obsommer followed Ben Marr to Quebec for the annual big wave “Stakeout.” Armed with a Red Dragon camera, Obsommer captured slow motion, ultra-HD footage of Marr absolutely shredding these waves and showcasing the best in freestyle kayaking.
