Nick Troutman’s Road to the Mountains series tracks his family travels with wife Emily Jackson across the country as they prepare for the 2016 GoPro Mountain Games, June 9-12 in Vail, Colo.

Troutman and Jackson have finally arrived in colorful Colorado after crossing half of the country in their RV. In this episode, Troutman has some expert tips and tricks for how to get the best quality photos and videos out of your GoPro POV camera while paddling. Tips include how to mix up your angles, picking camera settings, and using a “floating back door” to avoid losing your GoPro.
