Let Us Never Forget About the French
As paddlers in North America, with all our Eric Jackson’s and Tao Berman’s, it’s easy to forget about the European whitewater influence. And with the French, it seems that they fall even further below our collective radar screens. But France is filled with gigantic river waves in the middle of populated cities like Lyon, and even Paris, where prolific freestyle paddlers Mathieu Dumoulin, Marc Girardin, Benji Durand and others continue to push freestyle kayaking possibilities.
