Big Bear Lake, California – March 22, 2015 – The eighth annual Big Bear PaddleFest has moved to a new location, event co-director Jim Dooley announced today. “We’re really excited about our move to The Pines Lakefront,” Dooley explained. “There’s excellent entry into the lake for paddlers, as well as great viewing for spectators.”
The Pines Lakefront, 530 Alden Road in Big Bear Lake, is on a point of land. The 20K race will still go counterclockwise around the lake. But the 10K and 5K races will take place immediately in front of the venue on a multiple turn course, providing excellent views for cheering spectators.
The event, sponsored by North Shore Trading Company in Fawnskin, also offers a Vendor Expo, SUP yoga, paddling clinics, sprints, and everyone’s favorite, relay races. The races are open to all levels of paddlers and paddlecraft. And the Kids’ Fun Paddle is free for 12-year olds and younger.
For more information including registration details, kayak, canoe, or stand up paddleboard rentals or to be an exhibitor, please contact Jim or Janet Dooley at (909) 866-3414, or online at www.bigbearpaddlefest.com.
