CNN to feature the Colorado River on The Wonder List

For the next 15 days, American Rivers’ Sinjin Eberle will be live blogging his tour of the Colorado River Basin while helping to film an episode of The Wonder List with CNN. Each episode focuses on people, places, cultures, or creatures facing a crossroads. Hosted by veteran journalist Bill Weir, the show was one of the most popular shows on CNN in 2015.

The Colorado River in the Grand Canyon was named the country’s most endangered river by American Rivers in 2015.

Eberle shared a little about the trip in his first blog post:

“From the headwaters high in the Colorado Rockies, to Las Vegas and the agricultural fields of California's Imperial Valley, American Rivers and The Wonder List crew will be exploring, featuring, and seeking to understand many of the inter-relationships that exist between cities and communities, recreation, agriculture, and adventure, to the Colorado River. Places like the Upper Colorado, the Frying Pan River, Canyonlands and Arches National Parks, Lake Powell and Glen Canyon Dam, and the North and South Rims of the Grand Canyon – finally ending the journey in Las Vegas and the Imperial Valley of California, our nation's salad bowl.”

The show is set to air in early 2016.
