Hoover scores insane kayak frog footage – Second in KayakBassFishing.com’s series on kayak frog fishing to debut soon

Second in KayakBassFishing.com's series on kayak frog fishing to debut soon

What’s the biggest rush in kayak fishing? Bass fishing? Hell any kind of fishing? This vote goes to a big ol’ bass blowing up on a frog fished over a mat of reeds. It’s not just that the bite is spectacular — sometimes the take is a simple slurp. Or sometimes it’s a monster explosion of weed and gaping mouth.

What really makes kayak frog fishing exciting is the bite is just the first part of a sequence that has to go perfectly for your heart to stop pounding with a trophy bass secured in the crook of the thumb and hand. Complete misses, wads of weeds around the hook, head shaking lure launches — it is so easy to NOT  catch a bass on a frog.

There have been some great videos out there chrtoonicling bass blasting on frogs both in the weeds and most of the way to the boat. Yet it is hard to find footage like that offered KayakBassFishing.com’s Chad Hoover and crew in the award-winning kayak frog fishing video offered here.

The cuts, the perspectives, the shot of Chad flailing with his rod when a frog fish unbuttons, the subtle sipping bites and well-hooked bass launching out of the mat like a breaching whale, the calm still lake morning at Guntersville torn apart in an instant, the KayakBassFishing.com boys get it all down on film.

The good news is Chad Hoover promises the second part in his frog fishing series will debut soon and will be offer even more in unique points of view and stellar camera work. From the way Chad describes it, he’s done everything but strap a GoPro onto the back of a bullfrog!
