Caught on Film is a weekly video series featuring fresh footage from you, our fishing friends, as well as the occasional pro tip, interview or boat preview. Please send us your best and biggest, fresh or saltwater, hook, hoopnet or harpoon, fumbles, fortunes and one-that-got-aways. We’ll select a new clip each week and award each winner with a one-year subscription to the magazine or something else cool pulled from our prize closet. Email editor@kayakfishmag.com for details.

Isaac Brumaghim is one of the most well known kayak anglers in the world, catapulted to viral video fame by one Chompy the Shark. There’s much more to him. He’s the founder of Aquahunters.com, Hawaii’s kayak fishing community, and one of the sport’s greatest visionaries. When Isaac dreams, he dreams big. The grueling marathon of a season-long tournament the Makahiki Pro is just one example.

Kayak Fish caught up with Isaac after a day of fishing his home waters off ‘Yokes.’ For more on Hawaii’s kayak fishing scene, pick up our Fall 2014 edition, on sale in late August.

Isaac recently launched a kayak fishing and ecotour business that gives visitors a taste of island life.
