Kayak fishing is big business for Jackson Kayak. The company made its name in whitewater, but has increasingly shifted its focus to fishing (14 catchy models!). The strategy appears to be paying off.

On November 14, Jackson Kayak president Eric Jackson accepted a Tennessee GATE award for its contribution to state exports.

“Jackson Kayak is honored to receive this award and share the stage with such awesome companies as Swiftwick and Gibson. Tennessee’s progressive approach to economic development has helped Jackson Kayak grow to its top position in sales and reputation around the world,” Jackson said.

Jackson exports its watercraft to Europe, Asia and South America.
