Video: New Goods from VMC Hooks

By Jerry McBride

Kayak Fish readers got a sneak peek as we tested the VMC 7237 and 7266 inline hooks in the Spring issue—they’re just now being released. Designed to make the release process less dangerous for both the fish and the angler, these VMC hooks finally provide a simple solution for easily switching from trebles to single hooks without having to add a second split ring, or worrying about whether the lure will track as designed after the alteration. The good news is that a more corrosion-resistant model is being offered in addition to the black nickel version for saltwater use. Cyrille Mathieu explains the concept behind the hooks’ development.
