Extremity Games

The 4th annual Extremity Games (eX4) is set for July 9-11, 2009 in Michigan. Extremity Games is an extreme sports event including competitions, instructional clinics and exhibitions. Events include skateboarding, wakeboarding, mountain biking, motocross, kayaking and rock climbing.

Extremity Games is organized to raise awareness of the abilities of individuals living with limb loss or limb difference to compete in extreme sports. Extremity Games allow participants to demonstrate skill, persistence and passion, while competing for cash and other prizes – proving There’s No Replacement for the Competitive Spirit™.

In addition to hosting athletes from around the world, Extremity Games is proud to welcome members of the Wounded Warrior Disabled Sports Project, where recovering wounded warriors can not only compete in extreme sports, but can also educate themselves on sports they’ve never tried before. The Extremity Games event is an opportunity for recovering wounded service members to get active again through sports.

Extremity Events Network, Inc., the organizers of Extremity Games, is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit corporation. Founded in 2007, Extremity Events Network, Inc. established a neutral framework, in which all orthotic and prosthetic manufacturers and professionals, as well as outside industry sponsors, can comfortably contribute to and get involved.
