($TBD; us.hilleberg.com)

The new 4-person version of Hilleberg’s acclaimed Kaitum all-season tunnel tent brings palatial comfort to the gnarliest conditions. The vertical walls create plenty of elbow room, even with four full-grown adventurers inside. The to-the-ground outer tent is constructed of fabric that is multiple times stronger than the most common tent-fly material, providing ample muscle for all-season use. Amazingly, all that toughness comes with minimal weight penalty: At less than nine pounds, the Kaitum 4 is light enough for any portage. The GT model features an extra large vestibule, and its front can be rolled away to create a covered porch. Palatial indeed.
