Field Tested: Mountain Khakis Flannel Original Mountain Pant

The Flannel Original Mountain Pant from Moutnain Khakis is baggy, warm, and perfect for relaxing.

The Flannel-lined Original Mountain Pant has a thick flannel lining and a relaxed fit. The build quality is excellent, as we expect from Mountain Khakis, and they look stylish. These are the perfect “chill out” men’s pants for camp, and the relaxed fit makes it easy to bend over for tasks like loading a boat, setting up a kitchen, or portaging. The outer canvass material is rugged. The inner flannel lining is the thickest and warmest of the pants we tested.

The relaxed fit also makes them bulky, so don’t expect these to fit into your dry bag as easily as some of the other pants in this review. If you’re short on space, consider something more compact like the Prana Bronson.

If your goal is to sip on a warm drink in your favorite camp chair in the most comfortable flannel pants around, then these are your pants.
