“What Prevented You From Being His Lunch?”
Our friend Duane Strosaker is well-known in kayaking circles for his marathon paddling exploits using homemade Greenland-style gear. Last week while paddling to an oil rig offshore of Gaviota, Calif., a 17-foot Great White nibbled his sea kayak, prompting his hometown news to do this short feature in which an obviously impressed news-babe gushes “What prevented you from becoming his lunch?” Hey Duane: There are easier ways to get on TV.
