Virtual Kayak Racing
Want to know how your paddling speed stacks up? Join Virtual Racing by Kayak and Canoe. Marek Uliasz created this web site to enable kayakers and canoeists anywhere in the world to race against each other.
The idea is to paddle the race distance, either 1,000 meters, 5 miles (8K) or 10 miles (16K), record the results by GPS, and submit data for posting by filling out a simple form. In addition to the race data, you can submit information about yourself, your paddling, training, and racing.
All paddlers are welcome – solo, tandems, or adventure racer teams. Any paddling boats and paddlers of all skill levels. You can submit as many entries as you wish to show your progress.
Check it out at http://virtualrace.fit2paddle.com/.
