The big return of the 31st Outdoors Inc. Canoe and Kayak Race

Joe Royer founded Memphis’s Outdoors Inc., in 1974, growing the outdoor equipment retail chain’s annual Canoe and Kayak Race on the Mighty Mississippi into an ever-popular race event pulling upwards of 500 entrants, only having to cancel the 30th installment the second year in a row last year due to historic flood conditions [Read more HERE]. This Saturday, the race known for its spectacular mass-start and inclusive nature (racers participated in 64 different boat classes and age divisions) was back on.
