Wounded vets take on “Extremity Games”
The Army Times is reporting that 15 soldiers and Marines who have lost limbs will compete in flat-water kayaking race and play-boating demonstration at the O&P Extremity Games on July 29. An extreme sport competition for amateurs, the Extremity Games is open to anyone who is at least 13 years old and “living with a limb loss or limb difference” reports the Army Times.
The Games will be held in Orlando, Florida from July 28-30. Admission is free and winners will share a $25,000 cash prize.
