Plaid worked for Mel Gibson in Braveheart, and inspired Nova Craft to lay up one of their 15-foot Bob Specials in the Highland Tartan of the real Braveheart, William Wallace. But even if plaid wool and blue face paint isn’t your style, Nova Craft gives you the freedom to choose your favorite pattern.
Nova Craft will bond the patterned fabric between the clear gel outer layer and Kevlar or Kevlar/Spectra inner layers in the canoe of your choice. The Canadian company laminated a flowing maple leaf design into one of its boats to celebrate Canada’s first annual National Canoe Day last August, and honored the Summer of Love
with a tie-tied version. Peace. Price is based on layout, material, and boat model.
