It’s almost like these pants were made for the Arctic. They stand up to just about anything—except an open flame. Double layered knees and extremely durable fabric offer comfort for lounging around camp, leg protection while bushwacking, and are cheap enough that you don’t have to worry about tears, rips, stains, spills, squashed bugs, etc. The tight weave of the material makes these pants almost windproof and completely bugproof—two very important features for up North. Unfortunately these pants don’t seem to dry incredibly quickly, so consider purchasing a shorter inseam to keep your pant legs dry.

Lesson learned the hard way: No, these pants aren’t fireproof.
