Adidas Sickline 2008
The World’s best whitewater kayakers met in early October 08′ in Austria’s tztal for a special kind of challenge: Adidas Sickline – the extreme Kayak World Championship.
- In a tight and thrilling final on the legendary Wellerbrcke course German kayaker Thilo Niklas Schmitt won gold in Austria’s beautiful tztal. Thilo finished eleven hundreds of a second ahead of New Zealand’s Sam Sutton and Michele Ramazza from Italy. 120 top kayakers from more than twenty countries, among them many big names in kayaking and some former slalom world champions, had travelled to Austria to compete for world championship honors on one of the most difficult whitewater sections on the planet.
